Will Your Skin Stand Up to Your Anti-Aging Skin Care Program?

Only buy anti aging skin care products from signers of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics. All cosmetics should be safe, but for antiaging skin cream, it is particularly important.

As we age, our skin becomes more sensitive. It could be easily damaged by the wrong anti aging skin care regimen and it is more difficult for the body to repair that damage. Plus, you have to consider the health of the rest of your body.

If we take good care of ourselves, we may live well past the age of a hundred. The lifespan of the population is always increasing. The biggest threat to our continued good health, other than heart disease, is cancer.

An antiaging skin cream could contain compounds that either cause or are strongly suspected of causing cancer. A number of the major cosmetic companies have thus far refused to sign the compact mentioned above, including Avon, Estee Lauder, Unilever and Revlon. All of these companies provide anti aging skin care advice and sell their own version of an antiaging skin cream.

In the United States, there are a variety of loopholes that allow the $50 billion cosmetic industry to use ingredients that have not been tested or monitored for health effects. The labeling is inadequate. There is rarely a health advisory, except to keep away from eyes and "not to be taken internally".

The problem is that chemical compounds pass through the skin's layers and into the blood stream. Just think about all of the new trans-dermal patches that are available. Trans-dermal means "through the skin". If a compound could not pass through the skin's layers and into the bloodstream, then trans-dermal patches would not work, but obviously they do.

So, using an anti aging skin care product that should not be taken internally could cause you health problems, if not today, then at some point in the future. The laws governing antiaging skin cream are more stringent in the European Union.

In 2003, they banned the use of chemicals in cosmetics that are known to cause or strongly suspected of causing cancer or birth defects. At that time, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics began asking cosmetic companies to sign a pledge that they would abide by the European Union's ban.

More than 900 companies have signed the compact. But, thousands have not. Many of them sell anti aging skin care products. I know that you want to look better, but you should also want to live longer.

There is a very safe and effective antiaging skin cream that contains nothing that could be considered harmful. In fact every ingredient would be safe enough to eat. Probably wouldn't taste that great though, so I wouldn't recommend that you try it.

The antiaging skin cream is composed of compounds extracted from sea algae, jojoba and honey. It also contains vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other nutrients that are essential to your skin's health. Their clinical studies have shown that the compounds improve the body's ability to grown new collagen, elastin and skin-cells.

The products have been shown to increase firmness and elasticity. Tiny lines and wrinkles start to fade with continued use. Old scars and even stretch marks heal and disappear. They guarantee their anti aging skin care line and they are proud signers of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics. Take the time to look for them.
